The German doctorate enjoys an outstanding reputation in all disciplines. The number of foreign students registering themselves for a PhD has more than doubled in the last 12 years. The webinar will acquaint the participants with the research scenario and life in Germany, and offer tips about finding a PhD/research supervisor.

The webinar will include a special interactive session with Dr. Aranya B Bhattacherjee from the Jawaharlal Nehru University. Dr. Bhattacherjee will talk about how to prepare oneself for a PhD in Germany and throw light on the German research culture. He has a vast research experience at various institutions in Germany such as University of Duisburg- Essen, Freie Universität Berlin, Max Planck Institute for Physics of Complex Systems, and Technical University of Berlin.
